IronBoard ("we", "our", "the app") is a powerlifting leaderboard app that lets you log personal records and compete with other lifters at your gym. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Account information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email). This is used to create and authenticate your account.
Profile information
You may provide a display name, sex, body weight, and avatar image. This information is used to calculate your DOTS score, display your profile on the leaderboard, and show your weight class.
Lift data
When you log a personal record, we store the lift type (squat, bench press, or deadlift), weight lifted, body weight at the time of the lift, equipment type, DOTS score, and the date. This data powers your lifting profile and the gym leaderboard.
Videos
You may optionally record or upload a video of your lift. Videos are stored securely and are associated with your lift record. Camera and photo library access is only used when you choose to add a video.
Location
When you search for a gym, we request your location to show nearby gyms. Your location is used only for the search and is not stored on our servers.
Analytics
We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage data such as which screens are viewed and which features are used. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. No personally identifiable information is shared with Mixpanel beyond a user identifier.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Lift videos and avatar images are stored in Supabase Storage.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Your lift data and profile are visible to other users at your gym through the leaderboard. We share anonymous usage data with Mixpanel for analytics purposes only.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, lift records, and uploaded videos — is permanently removed from our servers.
IronBoard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at ironboardapp@gmail.com.
